Our partner in Australia Vital Resource Management (VRM) organized the EM® Forum held in northeast Australia, Townsville city from April 23 to 25.
The forum content linked the works of Effective Microorganisms®, resources circulation and the use of solar light for photosynthesis. The interactive forum ended in a lively meeting exchanging opinions within participants.
Local farmers, government officials, researchers, and relevant people from countries such as Malaysia, USA, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Japan took part in the workshop held at James Cook University on 23th.
Approximately 80 people participated in this international conference.
The Minister for the Environment of Penang State in Malaysia lectured on the environmental policies and related activities while officials from Townsville presented how children are educated to carry out recycling programs at educational and public administration levels.
During the visits on site to a sugar cane and corn farmers, the owners explained how EM™ contributes to soil improvement, reducing fertilizers cost and minimizing the frequency of using tractors that links to fuel cost reduction.
The forum concluded with the message of building a sustainable system to continue on EM™ use for agriculture and environmental fields.
